This course is designed to bring a complete novice in lifting latent prints to a confident practitioner. As with anything, the more one practices, the more proficient they will become. In just 16 hours, we will be able to give the beginner the knowledge and confidence necessary to excel at lifting latent prints. Crime scene technicians, patrol officers, and crime lab analysts can benefit from this class.
In this course, the attendee will start with the basics of the documentation of the latent lift card, as the information, or lack of, can make or break a case. Many times, latent lifts will be the best evidence officers will get from a crime scene. If the cards are not labeled, or not labeled correctly, the case can be in jeopardy from the beginning.
